We are delighted to announce that Glendoick won the Community Commitment Award at the recent Association of Scottish Business Women 2017 awards. The Community Commitment Award was a new category for 2017, and recognises the contribution of an individual, group, business or organisation to a charity or community project, by promoting social action, community involvement, volunteering or fundraising.
The presentation was made at a glittering awards ceremony at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. Glendoick had much to celebrate, not only did they win the Community Commitment award but were also finalists in two other categories - Best Performing Team of the Year and Employee of the year. (see image below for the "haul" of certificates and trophy that was brought back to Glendoick!)
For the Community Commitment award, Glendoick put forward the Play Park project which had involved the local community in the planning & development of the facilities.
Situated just behind the cafe in our beautiful grounds, our playpark was carefully designed to ensure children of all ages and abilities can enjoy themselves as they play. Pop a bug under the cool magnifer, have a peek under our interactive puzzles or let yourself go wild on our fantastic play frame:
Two Towers of Fun; Timber Log Stack Climbing Maze; Mag Posts; Basket Swing
Children of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us at Glendoick Play during the Garden Centre opening hours. However, on Thursdays, we give priority to children with Additional Support Needs and their families.
Glendoick Playpark is supported by Rural Perth & Kinross LEADER Programme 2014-2020: The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas. Find out more here>>>
