Books galore specialising in gardening, cookery, Scottish, humour, birds and children's
Jane Cox spent 25 years in publishing before marrying into the Cox family. She has introduced an interesting range and variety of books to the garden centre making it a firm favourite with our customers.
Specialising in the family's passions, we stock the following ranges:
Gardening - Of course, there are Ken Cox's books (of which there are 11) as well as his father's, Peter Cox and his brother's, Ray Cox's books, most of which are available in the bookshop (and if they're not, it's because they're out of print or reprinting). There's also general gardening, plant encyclopaedias, plant specialist books, nature.
Birds - a good collection on birds identification, bird care, bird song and a few specific books on Scottish birds.
Cookery - a passion of Jane Cox's, there is a great range of cookery books because leafing through a cookery book is still one of life's great pleasures.
Humour - lots of Scottish and on-trend humour.
Scottish - guide books, picture books and humour.
Children's - an extensive range of picture books for 0-8 year olds as well as educational and activity books
