50 Years of Glendoick: Courier Country Garden Competition
Glendoick Garden Centre in Partnership with the Courier
To celebrate Glendoick Garden Centre’s Golden Jubilee 2023, Glendoick and the Courier are running a competition to find the best private gardens in Tayside:
There are three sections, Gardens in:
- Perth & Kinross
- Angus
- Fife.
There will be a Winner and Runner Up from each Region and an Overall Winner
Competition will be launched on Glendoick’s Anniversary Weekend 22nd-23rd April 2023
Closing date 1st June 2023.
Initial Judging will take place in June to produce a short list and then there will be visits to short-listed gardens by the judges.
Open to private gardens only. Gardens can be of any size.

Each entry requires
- Name of Gardener(s)
- E-mail address
- Address
- Postcode
- Daytime phone number
- Maximum 200 word description of your garden, why you think it should win, and details of any notable Glendoick plants in it.
- Up to 5 photos which show the garden at various times of year. Photos should be no more than 12 months old: have been taken in the period 1st June 2022-31st May 2023
- Photo file names should be the name of the owner/entrant garden and the time of year Eg: Glendoick in May.jpg
Glendoick Courier Garden Competition 2023 Terms & Conditions
- Competition open to gardens in Perth & Kinross, Angus, Dundee and Fife.
- Gardens from outside these areas will not be judged and are not eligible for any prizes. Open to private gardens only. Gardens can be of any size.
- Entries must be received by the closing date of 5pm on Thursday 1st June 2023. Any entries received after this date will not be included.
- Judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entrants must be 18 yrs or over. The prizes are as stated.
- Employees of DC Thomson Ltd and immediate families are not allowed to enter.
- Submitted photographs must be taken by the named entrant with them having full rights to the image.
- DC Thomson and Glendoick Garden Centre retain the rights to use the images on their websites and social media channels and any other outlet for the purposes of the “Courier Country Garden Competition” competition and any associated material, but the ownership of the entries remains with the person that took the photograph.
- Your personal information will not be retained beyond the competition period as per our Privacy Policy.
